New York City hosted its largest themed event, NFT.NYC

The event is held in New York City and serves as a platform for everyone involved in the world of NFT presenting 1,500 speakers on panels, talks, fireside chats and hundreds of related events. Attendance figures are expected to grow from last year’s 5,600 to more than 15,000 this time around. Organizers selected 221 international artists and broadcast their work on a billboard in Times Square and throughout the Marriott Hotel. The selection was deliberately made in favor of artists representing the NFT community, rather than well-known brands that have begun to actively build their collections.

After the event, these artists will have the opportunity to mint their work at a price of their choice and keep 75% of all revenue generated from initial and subsequent sales.

NFT.NYC co-founder Cameron Bale said that the coming year will see the mass adoption of NFT in all areas. This will happen in part due to the popularization of the market and the media attention and promotion by well-known consumer brands. This trend can be seen based on the number of participants at the conference. In 2021 there were 500 and now there are more than 5500 participants!

MoonPay CEO Ivan Soto-Wright introduced a new product called “HyperMint” during the NFT.NYC conference, speaking at Radio City Music Hall. This self-service platform allows companies to mint and manage NFTs en masse.

Artist and music producer Pharrell Williams has joined the Doodles project as brand director. He will direct the collection’s approach to music, events, artwork, consumer products and animation. A music album titled “Doodles Record: Volume 1” is also planned.

Eminem and Snoop Dogg have released a music video in collaboration with Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). The main characters in it are the famous monkeys. The video, titled “From The D 2 The LBC”, garnered nearly 5 million views in 24 hours and gained fans’ attention.

A Snoop Dogg double performed at the NFT.NYC conference. The audience did not notice the switch and actively cheered and took pictures with the actor. After the switch was revealed — there was a wave of outrage. Which brought even more attention to the rapper and his NFT projects.

China’s social media platform WeChat has updated its rules, banning accounts that provide access to services related to cryptocurrency or non-exchangeable tokens. The ban applies to the secondary NFT market as well. Accounts associated with issuing, trading and funding tokens will be blocked or restricted.

Platforms owned by the Ant group have begun to distance themselves from the meta-universe since March. They have been removing or cutting token platforms. But if data published by Chinese media is to be believed, the number of collectible digital platforms in China is only growing.

Web3 NYC Gallery has opened its doors. The exhibition allows not only to show, but also to sell their works. To do so, the owners of their work must be affiliated with Genesis NFT. Artists can manage and sell their work remotely. The gallery houses three hundred 43, 21.5 and 10-inch displays from Tokenframe partners.

Web3 NYC Gallery opened June 15 at 510 5th Avenue in New York City. It’s a famous strip of stores where famous brands compete for visitors’ attention.

Meta, through its augmented reality platform Spark AR, will begin testing NFT in Instagram Stories. The head of the corporation said that users will be able to showcase their Non-Fungible Tokens on Facebook and Instagram. Facebook will add such a feature later and it will be tested by a small group of individuals.

Meta previously reported that it would create the Metaverse standardization body with technology companies such as Adobe, Epic Games, Microsoft, Nvidia and Qualcomm. They want to create the next version of the Web and develop a common ethic for Web3 and Metaverse.

eBay bought the KnownOrigin Non-Fungible Token marketplace. This will help the company continue to grow in the world of digital items. KnownOrigin allows creators and collectors to display, sell and collect unique tokens.

Since last May, eBay has made it possible to sell and buy Non-Fungible Tokens. At the same time, the company partnered with OneOf to release its first collection of NFTs.

Elton John partnered with Jadu to create the unique NFT. The video shows a 3D avatar riding a special hoverboard through the meta universe to John’s song “Rocket Man.” The board itself consists of the singer’s famous glasses, a pinball machine and piano keys. The auction was held from June 20 to 22, 2022. All proceeds will go to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Rolling Stone magazine, along with Bored Apes Yacht Club, released a special edition of digital collectible tokens on June 22. The BAYC NFTs feature variations of cartoon bored monkeys. Mutant Ape Yacht Club tokens will also be released as part of the new Rolling Stone NFT series. These NFTs are sold for $100 in ApeCoin only.

VERTU Paris has announced the launch of the new state-of-the-art smartphone “VERTU Constellation X Ulm”. The new smartphone will be available only with the purchase of one of 10,555 VXCP NFTs. The cost of each token is $5,175. The sale began on June 20. Once purchased, NFT owners will have until Sept. 23 to convert their NFTs to the new smartphone or save them to become part of the new VERTU 3.0 business club. 1,000 NFTs are sold on the Binance exchange, and the rest are available at Galler.io.
